Every week, Lesbian Culture Club members gather to walk, hike, wander, and occasionally stop for coffee somewhere beautiful around Portland.
Some weeks it's a trail through old-growth forest. Some weeks it's the waterfront. The location changes — the people become familiar. That's usually how good friendships begin.

Paddle the Willamette Narrows

A summer afternoon on the water.
Join Lesbian Culture Club on Saturday, August 29 at 11:00 AM for a paddle through the Willamette Narrows, winding past islands, rocky shorelines, and some of the best wildlife viewing in the metro area.
Bring your kayak or paddleboard and meet us at Willamette Park before we head out together. We'll keep an eye out for bald eagles, beavers, deer, and whatever else decides to make an appearance along the way.
Feeling adventurous? We'll pull up on one of the islands for anyone interested in scrambling up the rocks and taking a leap into the river.
Afterward, we'll head to Willamette Garage for lunch, a cold drink, and the kind of conversations that seem to happen a little easier after a few hours outside.

LCC Fly Fishing

Early fall. Cold water. Six people and a box of flies.
Join LCC member September Nelson for a morning of fly fishing on the Upper Clackamas, about an hour outside Portland. We’ll head into the small streams and pocket water of the Clackamas drainage in search of wild trout, with plenty of time to learn, wander and get a little better at reading the water.
No need to be an expert. September will help lead the group through the basics, from choosing a fly to figuring out where a trout might be hiding.
We’ll leave Portland around 7 AM, fish through the morning and regroup for lunch before heading home.
Limited to six people.

Why Outdoor Club?
Because adulthood makes friendship weird. Because screens are exhausting. Because walking next to someone makes conversation easier. Sometimes the best day involves coffee in a thermos and a stranger who feels familiar by noon.
