We couldn’t have imagined a better way to kick off the very first Supper Club by the Lesbian Culture Club! Held at the beautifully intimate Someday bar in Southeast Portland, the evening was a perfect blend of locally-sourced cuisine, expertly paired wines by Yamile Abraham (@yamzzz), and most importantly—meaningful connections with our vibrant community.
From the moment guests arrived, it was clear that this evening would be about more than just a meal. The setting was warm and inviting, with conversations flowing as everyone gathered around the table. One of the night’s highlights was the “Someday I will…” prompt, which encouraged guests to share their goals and dreams. This icebreaker sparked powerful conversations, allowing everyone to connect in deeper and more meaningful ways.
The curated menu featured the finest local flavors, with every bite enjoyed as laughter and stories filled the space. Our guests left with hearts nourished not only by the food but by the meaningful connections formed throughout the evening.
Whether they were foodies, conversationalists, or simply eager to be part of something bigger, everyone found their place at the table. It was inspiring to see our diverse community come together.
Throughout the night, we heard incredible feedback from guests who said, “I totally get the vision now. This is something special, and I want to be more involved.” It was a powerful reminder of why the Lesbian Culture Club exists: to create spaces where queer women can connect, share, and grow in meaningful ways.
